Bona Mega hardwood floor finish is a single component wood floor finish meaning it does not need to be catalyzed (mixed) before application. In 2010, Bona announced a new Bona Mega "Booster" catalyst which can be mixed with Mega to add even more durability than Mega alone. The booster does not change the application charactistics of Bona Mega - it just makes Mega tougher.
Bona Mega is an excellent solution for residential and commercial hardwood floors. Mega is more durable than oil based finishes and has lower VOC's (volatile organic compounds). With a 3 hour dry time multiple coats of Mega can be applied in the same day.
Mega can be applied directly over a Bona stain without using a sealer. When applying to an unstained floor use one coat of Bona sealer like Bonaseal (clear), Bona DTS (slight amber tones), or Bona Amberseal (same amber tones as oil based polyurethane). » RSS | 0 | 0 | | Bona Naturale is the "sister product" of Bona Traffic. Traffic and Naturale are Bona's most durable products and are among the very toughest grade of wood floor finishes available in the market.
Bona Naturale differs from Traffic in that Naturale provides no sheen but produces more of a "hand rubbed" oil look. It provides the most natural look to the wood in your floor while providing good slip resistance. Architects and designers will love it for the modern look it brings to the floor.
Bona Naturale is best when applied with a Bona Roller. It goes down clear and remains clear over the life of the floor. Naturale can be re-coated if needed over the years using Bona Prep.
Coverage is 350-400 sq ft/gallon. Use one of Bona's sealers when applying Naturale on an unstained wood floor. If staining the floor, use one of Bona's stains and when the stain dries completely, apply Naturale directly over the stain without requiring a sealer. » RSS | 0 | 0 | | Bona Traffic is the flagship floor finish in the Bona product line. Bona Traffic has become synonymous with durability and toughness when coating a hardwood floor. Commercial locations like retail stores and restaurants choose Bona Traffic for the ultimate in protection but heavy use residential jobs are also commonly protected with Traffic.
Bona Traffic is a 2-component waterbased hardwood floor finish meaning there are two parts (part A and Part B) which are mixed prior to application. Once mixed with the hardener, Traffic has a 4-hour pot life and it cannot be re-mixed so be careful to only mix what is required for the job to avoid losing valuable product.
Bona Traffic is a clear finish which remains clear over the life of the wood floor.
Apply Bona Traffic over a waterbased Bona sealer like Bonaseal, Bona DTS, or Bona Amberseal. Traffic can also be applied directly over Bona stains and Bona oil-based sealers once they are completely dried.
Bona Traffic gets approximately 350-400 sq ft of coverage per gallon. » RSS | 0 | 0 | |
